ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:

Until recently Scott has primarily focused on masked owls but has been keen to do a study of the snowy owl for quite some time, allowing lighting to play off their feathers that he couldn’t capture with species that had a tighter barred feather pattern.

ARTIST BIOGRPAHY:

Scott Ferguson was born in 1982, his earliest and fondest memories were of his mother teaching him how to hold a pencil and draw animals. Growing up in a family of artists and craftsmen, Scott’s passion for art grew as he went on to obtain his degree in Animation. Originally for 15 years a sequential artist and digital painter in the comic and game industry, he found the importance of composition, conceptual development, and creating a story through his work. These base fundamentals and a love of wildlife would eventually lead him to fine art, primarily oil painting.
