ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Yellow, seen straight on—cream and butter petals with a warm apricot flush toward the centre. Move to the side and the pink comes forward; rose held in the curl of each petal, kept back until the profile lets it show. One flower, two colours, decided by where you stand.

Medium: Oil on air-hardening clay on wood
Category: Guest Artists

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mila Ilingina is a Russian-born, Dubai-based contemporary sculptor known for one-of-a-kind floral wall sculptures, hand-shaped from air-hardening clay and finished in layered oil. Her flowers are invented forms—plant logic translated into volume, light, and pigment—built entirely by hand. Trained across graphic design, filmmaking, and ceramics, she carries each into her work. She exhibited at Saatchi Gallery, London, in “Flowers—Flora in Contemporary Art & Culture” (2025), with works held in private collections internationally.

ABOUT THE WAY GUEST ARTISTS
Mila Ilingina is one of a select group of globally recognised wildlife artists who have been invited to exhibit at WAY 2026.
