ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Reflections into time spent in the deep wild where humans do not have authority. Emily Lamb’s collection is an extended and ongoing deep dive into the realms of wilderness, ancient presence and practices through pure, human interpretations and expressions, and symbolic presence of spirit. With the planet in severe climate emergency, Emily has felt a calling to remember. We are not facing extinction: we already are extinction. Our insatiable appetites for now 100 billion land animals and trillions of ocean-living-creatures (each year) are now so extreme that we face global chaos and spiritual collapse. The next great flood is upon us, and this one rages fire. May the spirit return, be healed, and beauty through the divine feminine reign once more.

Environmental artist and activist Emily Lamb is driven by her deep calling to capture the beauty and essence of wilderness. As the granddaughter of legendary conservationist and artist David Shepherd CBE, her art is shaped by a quest for reason and liberation of the wild.
