A dappled grey heavy horse having a shampoo in a Stable. Painted in 1987. Two men hard at work preparing a beautiful heavy dappled grey for an event – maybe for a show, or for another special outing. The cockerels in this stable appear to be used to this activity and remain completely calm. David did not often paint horses, but when he did, he always managed to capture the character of the horse and atmosphere beautifully.
