Etosha – Waiting for the Rains

Book | 30 × 30 cm

Foreword by Mark Carwardine

Etosha National Park Namibia. Nearing the end of the dry season. The wildlife is desperately waiting for the rains after almost 6 years of drought. Survival is not assured; the savannah and desert environments yield precious little food. There is no green, just a parched barren landscape dotted with waterholes which provide a crucial lifeline. Without further precipitation large numbers of the wildlife will almost certainly perish.

Pete arrived in Etosha to spend a month documenting the animals of this extraordinary and unforgiving environment. The fruits of his labours are encapsulated in this stunning coffee table book that highlights the extreme conditions of a magical wilderness.

Thanks to Pete, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this artwork will support DSWF’s work protecting endangered species across Africa and Asia.
