Annabel Thornton – Going Going Gone

Annabel Thornton’s painting ‘Going Going Gone’ celebrates the barn owl. The local barn owl would frequent the fields around where the artist lives but due to developments she would see it less and less, and sadly not at all now. The painting utilises many broken marks as the artist tries to capture the feeling of loss.
