Inspired by the plight of the migratory monarch butterfly, one of the earth’s most colourful and enchanting insects, this mixed media original piece is created with linocut and watercolour. It’s aim is to draw attention to the gradual, insidious loss of these now endangered butterflies in a direct visual way through careful use of colour, tone and composition.
