Running in David’s footsteps…. General January 26, 2018 TeamDSWF’s London Marathon campaign was officially launched on Tuesday 23rd January at London’s One Aldwych, who generously sponsored the evening. Four of our team members, consisting of Dani Cox, Nick Sagar, Tom Hicks, Rhea Bayliss (pictured left to right, front row), were joined by the DSWF support team (back row left to right) of Sue Cox, Kay Belcham, Marianne Watts, Marina Kyriacou and Samantha Hicks, with our CEO Karen Botha behind the camera. Thanks to all of our runners for all of their training in the dark, rain and snow and to those of runners who couldn’t make it on the night, Clive Reid, Charlie Galley and Andrew Winton who are making up our team of 7. Thanks also to Kay, who has run the marathon and shares valuable mentoring advice and Marina who kindly continues to give our runners her massage expertise pro-bono as they come off the finish line – an incentive for anyone to take part! All runners taking part in this year’s iconic event are doing so in David’s memory and raising funds for our ‘In His Footsteps’ appeal, part of which is dedicated to developing a conservation education centre in his name.
