BBC Radio Surrey – ‘In His Footsteps’

David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation was today joined by Game Rangers International (GRI), Zambia, on BBC Radio Surrey and Sussex.

Our Head of Policy and Programmes, Georgina Lamb, was today joined by Jeni Jack, Head of Community Outreach Department, Game Rangers International (GRI), Zambia, on BBC Radio Surrey and Sussex. Both have just arrived in the UK from Zambia and were discussing our ‘In His Footsteps’ Appeal, set up in memory of Georgina’s grand-father and our founder, the late, David Shepherd.  Our current focus is to raise funds for a new Education Centre in Zambia which will be essential in increasing awareness about the plight of wildlife and the impact of poaching. It’s also vitally important as it will be very central (Lusaka National Park) so it will be accessible to a great number of people of a huge variety of backgrounds and ages.  Currently DSWF already supports the work of Jeni and her team for GRI in reaching 3,000 children a week around the country.
