We are thrilled to announce DSWF’s Wildlife Artist of the Year 2021, in association with BBC Wildlife magazine, will comprise of a month long virtual exhibition and a series of art events. To launch the Wildlife Artist of the Year 2021 exhibition, we will be hosting a Virtual Award Ceremony to announce the winners of this year’s competition which will take place on Tuesday 25 May (7pm UK time).

It will be brought to you by DSWF’s CEO and David Shepherd’s granddaughter Georgina Lamb alongside her sister and DSWF Art Patron, Emily Lamb. Both co-hosts form part of the judging panel and with Emily Lamb’s experience as a renowned artist, we can expect fascinating insights into the difficult judging decisions made this year. Tickets to the DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year 2021 ceremony are free of charge but donations are greatly appreciated. The Wildlife Artist of the Year 2021 exhibition will be brought to you virtually for the second year running in an even more immersive and interactive way. Open on Tuesday 25 May up to Tuesday 29 June 2021 with artwork sales ending the following week. With over 250 fantastic artworks from all over the world, DSWF’s Wildlife Artist of the Year has been a fixture in the wildlife art calendar for 14 years. Attending the exhibition is free and registration will open soon.

During the month-long Wildlife Artist of the Year 2021 virtual exhibition, we have a number of exciting events planned. These include an artist panel on 1st June, hosted by judge and Wildlife Artist of the Year Martin Aveling and DSWF Chief Executive Georgina Lamb, an exclusive workshop with talented watercolour artist Hazel Soan on 15th June and a very special talk on 22nd June by Mandy Shepherd on the legacy of David Shepherd OBE as well as insights into her own work.
