The famous and ever popular Thames Path Challenge provides a wonderful route along England’s greatest river. The route heads upstream to Henley along the famous towpath through Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede, and Windsor, with some wonderful scenery along the riverside to the finish line. It’s ‘Your Challenge Your Way’ so you decide whether you walk, jog or run the 25, 50 or 100km route.
Your entry includes a range of free food & drink at regular rest stops, and support from medics, marshals and massage teams. As you cross the finish line, you’ll get a glass of fizz, a t-shirt, and a special medal to celebrate your achievement.
Working in some of the planet’s most extreme and dangerous environments, anti-poaching rangers do one of the toughest jobs in the world. They work tirelessly day and night in often hostile conditions to protect wildlife. They face gruelling conditions due to extreme weather, long hours and heavily armed poachers. But without rangers there would be no hope for critically endangered species like elephants and rhinos in their natural habitats.
Wildlife Rangers walk thousands of kilometres each year. Often spending weeks in the field at a time in order to protect wildlife and ensure their safety from poachers, snares and other threats. By taking part in an Ultra Challenge you will be stepping into a rangers shoes. Walking up to 100 kilometres across two days getting a feel for what they go through every day but in a much safer environment. Your fundraising will go towards DSWF’s support of Rangers across Africa and Asia. Ensuring they are well trained, equipped and supported to stay safe in the field and protect endangered wildlife.
