Are you an amateur or professional artist looking to develop your wildlife drawing skills? Or perhaps you want to learn how art can be used as a valuable conservation tool. If so, this is the class for you!

David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) is delighted to be partnering with Derwent in an incredibly special art-sketching class, led by Wildlife Artist of the Year 2023 finalist and Derwent ambassador, Jess Pritchard.

WHERE: Mall Galleries, London SW1Y 5BD

WHEN: Friday 15 September 2023, from 12PM.

Held at the Mall Galleries, London on Friday 15 September 2023 (12 to 1pm), this 50-minute workshop aims to provide you with a variety of skills and techniques to understand the basics of drawing one of the worlds most endangered species, the Tiger. And all whilst surrounded by the stunning array of artwork participating in this year’s highly anticipated, Wildlife Artist of the Year.

Artists of all abilities are encouraged to come and join in with the fun! Afterwards, there will be a discussion on the current ongoing conservation threats affecting this beautiful creature, and we guarantee you’ll go away with not only some great drawings but a newfound respect and admiration for the world’s largest cat.

Secure your spot at ‘Eye of the Tiger’ workshop with Jess Pritchard.

Tigers are arguably one of the most iconic species in the world, with their distinctive orange and black striped coat and fearless attitude – endearing them to many and securing their place in renowned literature and films. However, tragically there are fewer than 4000 left in the wild, seeing a devastating 96% decrease in just 100 years. Here at DSWF, we directly support conservation projects on the ground across Asia, funding habitat protection and education programmes to protect wild tiger populations for future generations, as well as lobbying at a governmental level and supporting law enforcement.

This workshop will be held at the Mall Galleries, London. Participants to the class are encouraged to bring their own sketchbook, but art drawing supplies will be kindly supplied by Derwent. There is a café on site where food and drink may be purchased.
