Beginning with an introduction to Polly’s field studies, participants will be guided through a series of drawing exercises inspired by animals in their natural environments. The session concludes with an opportunity to share work, discuss approaches and gain insight into the challenges and rewards of drawing directly from life.

Suitable for all abilities, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to develop observational drawing skills under the guidance of a practising wildlife artist.

Ticket holders will receive a selection of graphic pencils to use during the workshop and take home, courtesy of Derwent. Participants will also have the opportunity to work with and experiment using Derwent’s Graphitint and Tinted Charcoal Blocks on Derwent’s acid-free, textured paper sketchbooks, courtesy of Derwent.
