About the piece:
Tomas is a professional portrait, equine, landscape artist, as well as being an author and illustrator. He has had over 25 solo exhibitions throughout Ireland as well as being involved in numerous group exhibitions throughout Ireland and the UK. In December 2020 before the third ‘Covid Lockdown’ in Ireland (they were restricted to remain within 5km of their home) on a crisp frosty morning, Tomas was walking along one of his favourite coastal routes in Clare. At Clahane, not far from Liscannor, he spotted these Brent Geese. They were feeding along the shoreline after their long journey and are a common winter visitor to Ireland. These small light-bellied geese are migrants from high-Arctic Canada.
