ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:
Julia Meledjaeva’s artwork features the Far Eastern leopard which is rightfully called one of the most beautiful predators of the cat family. It is the rarest of all sub-species. From Latin, the name translates as “spotted lion.”
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:
Julia Meledjaeva (also known as Julia Dubinina) was born and raised in Moscow. She is a graduate of Moscow State Pedagogical University. In 2005, she began her professional career as an artist and since then has painted more than 600 paintings that are in private galleries in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Switzerland, England, Germany, Lithuania, China and Turkmenistan (in the collection of the President). In 2010 she joined the Union of Artists of Russia working in various genres – animalistic, botany, portrait and landscape.
