About the piece:
Catherine is an Australian artist working in both pastels and oils. ‘The Vanishing’ was a long-term project, one of those ideas that took time to consolidate. She wanted the tiger to silently pad through the herbal shop surrounded by bottles and packets of unknown substances, perhaps tiger parts, vanishing as he walked. A ‘lucky cat’ watches from the shelf and waves as the tiger passes.
