“Surfing the Camargue” is an oil painting that captures the free and wild spirit of horses galloping in the Camargue, freedom as nature intended. Jacqueline Kamio gives a special thank you and credit to wildlife photographer, Alberto Ghizzi Panizzi, for providing the inspiration for her painting and for his incredible skills in capturing the moment.

Jacqueline Kamio is a realist painter who lives and paints in London. She was born in Bremerhaven, Germany when her father was serving in the United States Navy and the family were later relocated back to America. As a result, her early years were spent growing up near the sea in Norfolk, Virginia and Key West, Florida and later in the countryside in the UK, and this time and later years gave her the experience of many diverse cultures. She embraces the outdoor life, nature and all its local wildlife.
