Safe Harbour, Swallow at Fleetwood Wrecks , Lancashire
Alan Woollett
ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:
Alan Woollett’s drawing is a result of watching swallows in the summer over the Fleetwood Wrecks in Lancashire. The Wrecks are old fishing trawlers left to decay after the Cod Wars in the 1970’s. Alan was struck by how the fragility of the swallow juxtaposed nicely with the large rusting hulk of a boat, both of which he feels have a link to travel and both have beauty.
