Bryan Holland
Highly Commended
About the piece:
Bryan Holland’s inspiration for this piece came from a story he heard whilst on an African safari at Ngorongoro crater, describing how the wildebeest were created. The legend is that these unusual looking animals were created last, using the leftover parts from all other animals. Being drawn to this story, Bryan decided to commemorate the legend of the wildebeest by creating this painting using leftover parts of a previous painting and collage material. This captured the beauty and strangeness of these incredible animals.
