ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:

The Chinese zodiac sign Tiger is a symbol of strength, exorcising evils, and braveness. Since the last Year of the Tiger in 2010 wild tigers have disappeared from Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Through her painting Simone hopes to raise public awareness on protection of the environment and endangered species.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

Simone Mulas was born in Italy in 1990 and she is a hyperrealist artist. She grew up in Bologna, in a creative atmosphere, where everything in her home was exciting and different. She could not have imagined a life without art and colour everywhere. Simone did not receive any formal education in the visual arts, she wasn’t following a curriculum or being told exactly where and what to study but she has been focusing her efforts on developing herself technically from different sources, like manuals, books, videos, workshops, and a large dose of trial-and-error.
