Zoe Fitchet’s piece “Painted Shadow” was created to capture the African wild dog from an alternative angle, allowing the shadow to be visible in its full form. Zoe says: “My favourite symbol of the shadow is shelter and protection. So often a shadow can be used to imply danger or deceit, but in reality a shadow cannot be created without light.”
Zoe Fitchet is a wildlife artist from the South of England, who uses her work to raise awareness and donates a portion of her sales to wildlife conservation projects around the world. Working in acrylic or coloured pencil, Zoe creates highly detailed, realistic artwork, depicting wild animals in a contemporary style.
