ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:

Neal Griffin’s inspiration for this oil painting “One Horned Rhino” came from a photograph that a friend took during a trip to India. Neal was particularly taken by the soft light on the rhino’s skin and the colours and reflections created in the water.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

Neal Griffin is a professional multi-award-winning artist and finalist of the DSWF Wildlife Artist of the year 2018, 2019 & 2020. He has always displayed a passion for art with much of his inspiration coming from his love of the natural world. Neal works in both 2D and 3D and in a variety of mediums including, oil, pencil, charcoal and clay, creating highly detailed studies of the subject concentrating mainly on wildlife. He aims to capture the essence of the subject by concentrating on light, form and movement to best reflect what he is trying to portray.
