#SKETCHFORWILDLIFE:  

Each year, the talented artists who take part in DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year are invited to participate in #SketchForWildlife.   

By painting or drawing a small image on a postcard it gives visitors to the online exhibition a chance to own a totally unique piece of work, by a highly sought after collection of artists.   

The postcards have always been extremely popular and we hope you will support this initiative which allows more people to own a unique piece of original art, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. The subject and medium of the postcard was entirely up to the artist, with the subject matter being their own celebration of the natural world.    

100% of the proceeds from this sale will support the charitable work of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.  

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY: 

Ingrid Megnack is a self-taught fine art painter based in South Wales. She was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, where she developed an abiding interest in and enjoyment of wildlife and nature which continues to this day. Drawing and painting what Ingrid saw around her helped her to appreciate the beauty and fragility of the African animals and their surroundings. She quickly realised that creative use of light, colour, shape and texture could powerfully illustrate the scenes which moved her so much. Today she continues to pursue her interest in wildlife and the natural world.
