Nanook

Nanook
Doyle Hostetler
About the piece:
Doyle grew up in Colorado where the mountains and animals mesmerised him, meaning that wildlife has always been his subject matter. ‘Nanook’ represents the image of the polar bear. He sees this creature as a magnificent predator, being the largest of the bears and an immensely graceful being in the water. The polar bear wears this difficult life with pride, without complaint, and without regret.
