Magical Encounter in Deep Forest

Magical Encounter in Deep Forest
Axelle Bouiges
About the piece:
Axelle Bouiges uses mainly pastels to transcribe the mood and atmosphere of his artwork. His hope is that his art gives people an alternative view of the world’s beauties that surround them and portrays this in ‘Magical Encounter in Deep Forest’. Based on a personal experience, this painting shows orangutans within the deep tropical forest in the dark mist that has followed a rainstorm. His intention is to transcribe the magnificence of that moment, trying to convey the extraordinary feeling that it gave him.
