Lynx – Sight

Lynx – Sight
Silvie Irrova
About the piece:
Silvie describes her artwork: “I will never stop admiring nature and its diversity. I am sad if I see species numbers decrease and their natural environment. I perceive animals as strong but fragile, vulnerable beings which are losing their freedom and homes due to human activities. Erazim Kohak said: ”non-human nature (wolves, bears, porpoises) have their own agenda, independent of human want or need, and so their own value, worthy of respect.” That is what I try to catch when I draw or paint animals. The Lynx´s name is “Rys ostrovid” in my country’s language which means “sharp seeing Lynx”, so I tried to draw this acumen in its sight and its vulnerability also.
