ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:

Annabel’s acrylic painting “Lone Bee” comprises layers of golds and turquoise painted onto canvas board and she has allowed the paint to drip and merge together. Annabel chose to paint a solitary bee to emphasise the plight of the bee.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

Born into the Cheshire countryside Annabel Thornton has been passionate about wildlife from an early age. This passion continued at Cheltenham College of Art where she gained a BA Fine Art Honours Degree. Since turning professional Annabel has concentrated on portraiture along with her work on natural form. Her main choice of mediums are acrylic/oil on canvas and charcoal on watercolour paper. Annabel is a member of the Society of Woman Artists and an Associate Member of the Society of Equestrian Artists.
