It’s Black and White

It’s Black and White
Francis Lee
About the piece:
The recent frequency of Malayan tapir killed in road accidents has been alarming . This caught Francis’ attention in early 2020. He wanted to portray this elusive creature against a white background, suggesting its innocence, pureness and gentleness. Faint reddish scars on its shoulder show its vulnerability and struggle. It peeks out from the corner in shyness with gleaming eyes begging for empathy. Francis hsa dedicated himself to watercolour, painting mainly landscape and cities. Francis hopes that through his art his audience can get to know about this creature a little bit more.
