Every element of this portrait was put together from different animals in order to bring the artist’s vision to life. In reality, this chimp does not exist, it is the connection between the viewer and painting that makes it real”

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

Carla Grace was born in South Africa in 1991, and then moved to Zimbabwe where she experienced wildlife as a child. This closeness to nature at such a young age laid a solid foundation in Grace’s creative soul. She then moved to New Zealand for a few years, which is where she entered a school art competition at age 13, winning the overall prize for the top artist in the school. It became clear that art wasn’t just something Grace was just good at, but it was something that she was uniquely gifted in.
