About the piece:
Stephanie is a pen and ink based animal portrait artist, with a passion for precision and capturing the soul and emotion of her subjects in the eyes. She mainly does commissions of pet portraits, but when she can she loves to focus on big cats, African wildlife and British wildlife. ‘Harry Hare’ was created with pen and ink illustration drawn one hair at a time using a super fine nib. Black pastel was then added for depth and shading. Approximately 30 hours was spent creating this piece. Stephanie’s passion is for portraying emotion and character in the eyes, and she hopes she has conveyed some of this feeling in Harry Hare.
