About the piece:
This artwork is of a Guinea Fowl. Having grown up in South Africa and spent her childhood holidays in Zimbabwe, the guinea fowl’s evocative sound takes Natalie straight back to the dusty roads and tall grass. The artwork is on watercolour paper and is surrounded by silver foil. The watercolour softens the stark black colour which is further offset by the silver foil. Reminiscent of the dusty birds in the shimmering African heat.
