Exploited, Exported, Extinct
Andrew Harris
About the piece:
Andrew Harris is an illustrator and printmaker. This woodcut artwork was completed in January 2020 as a response to learning about the shocking numbers of pangolin illegally trapped, killed and trafficked by organised crime networks, threatening the existence of the entire species. Spanish police found a pangolin while screening luggage on a flight from Casablanca, with the dead creature being found amongst the passenger’s clothes. This heart-breaking story is clearly depicted in this powerful woodcut artwork.
At least 50% of the proceeds from this sale will support the charitable work of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.
