About the piece:
Sara Polini describes her artwork “Egyptian Vulture” – Sara is a young 6-year old Egyptian vulture. She spent the last winter in Niger and she crossed the Mediterranean Sea returning to Southern Italy on April, after a journey of 3,470 km. Here she is going to stop for summer and we hope she can mate. Sara was born in Italy at CERM (Endangered Raptors Centre) and her history shows how the release of specimens born in captivity can support her species which in her birthplace is endangered. This artwork is a tribute to Sara.
At least 50% of the proceeds from this sale will support the charitable work of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.
