About the piece:
Alexander Fleming is a creator of realistic art, only ever subtly and rarely altering the odd thing in an artistic rendition. The real and natural world is immensely interesting to him and therefore it is his desire to depict it as near to reality as he can. He sees nature as covering a gamut of size, colour, personality and beauty, all of which he believes should be worthy of everyone’s attention. His passion for realistic representations of nature is shown in ‘Damselfly 05’. Alexander sees the Damselfly depicted in this artwork as an iridescent and completely engaging subject.
