As quoted by Nicola: “I wanted to paint two different sides of the pangolin’s personality – the confident, head-down determination of a pangolin is search of delicious ants and termites, and the cautious defensiveness of a pangolin up a tree. They are tricky to paint, but the beautiful curves of their snouts, backs and tails make them very rewarding to paint”
