Captive Dragon

Captive Dragon
Claire Hopkins
ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:
Claire Hopkins’ pastel drawing of a Chinese Water Dragon poised on a rock in captivity was inspired by one of her regular visits to her local zoo on the Costa del Sol. Claire wanted to try drawing a different species of animal and gave herself a challenge of painting the scales. The colour and the form of the dragon inspired her to do this painting.
