ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:

Blue sharks are heavily fished and killed worldwide. Their friendly and inquisitive behaviour makes them easy victims. With his drawing Sebastian wanted to show how beautiful it is to encounter them underwater and that they are worth more alive. He tried to especially depict their mesmerizing skin colours and graceful, weightless movements.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

Sebastian Schmidt is a pastel artist from Germany. Sebastian loves being outdoors and watching wildlife and finds it terribly sad to see that many species are fighting against extinction. As a result of this he focuses his drawings solely on wildlife (based on his own encounters) and hopes to help wildlife conservation that way through information, awareness and donations.
