About the piece:
“Attention” is a soft pastel drawing of an African Painted Dog on Clairefontaine pastelmat. Artist Sandra Bartels makes animal drawings with pastel and pastel pencils. Sandra studied at the Graphic Lyceum in Utrecht, then worked in advertising and started out with realistic animal drawings in 2016. She is self-taught and has further developed her pastel technique by working in a detailed and realistic way, Sandra specialises in capturing the personality and expression of the animal.

At least 50% of the proceeds from this sale will support the charitable work of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.
