‘Angel of Death’ showcases the vulture. Though much aligned for their scavenging nature, vultures are a vital part of ecosystems the world over, protecting these ecosystems from diseases and toxic bacteria. These incredible birds now face an uncertain future, mostly as a result of poaching and poisoning. This drawing attempts to highlight the often unseen majesty of these birds, wings spread, catching the warm rays of the morning sunlight. The scale of the vulture’s wings is magnificent, allowing them to soar through the skies, on the lookout for their next clear-up act.
