An Environmental Crash, The Glitch Series No 6
Mahdhav Sarna
About the piece:
This piece is part of a series by Australian artisrt Mahdhav Sarna, which highlights the spiralling decline of wildlife as our society shifts its natural focus from our ecosystems towards a technologically dominant environment. The Glitch series portrays iconic, life size wildlife species, which balance on the knife-edge of extinction. Left in peril by us, by our societies’ disregard and detachment from our fellow earthlings and Mother Nature’s delicate balance of symbiotic relationships. Symbolically utilising language from Information Technology system errors, we explore these glitches.
At least 50% of the proceeds from this sale will support the charitable work of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.
