Claire’s artwork “Afternoon Kip” portrays an ageing chimpanzee sleeping, the chimp’s characteristics so beautifully similar to humans. Claire wanted to create a soft background to reflect such a tender moment.
Claire Allen-Brunn likens her artworks to that of a split personality. Creating certain pieces that follow a traditional method, coupled with other pieces that offer an explosion of experimental release. It has often been noted during solo exhibitions that viewers considered there to be more than one artist on display, when in fact it is the work of Claire and her continual zest to evolve and create different methods.
