ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Tim Hastilow studied art over 35 years ago, only returned to drawing 10 years ago after encouragement from his family. He has been selected as a DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year finalist for nine years. Tim’s work is inspired by his passion for nature conservation and wildlife. His seemingly random scribbles build up a complex texture to give the desired effect and what appears abstract close up, is revealed in full when viewed as a whole. Tim experiments using different mediums from the traditional ink and pen, ink wash, to the more unusual of using coffee as a wash to create different tones and marks.
