Capturing the sheer beauty and determination of the red stag during a rut, ‘The Clash of Antlers’ shows both their strength and unwavering will to succeed in acquiring a female for mating. The focal point are the antlers intertwining, which creates an intimate but powerful piece portraying dominance in its raw form.

Emma Greenwood is a coloured pencil fine art artist, initially exploring pet portraits and more recently entering the sphere of wildlife artwork. Her aim is to become a wildlife conservation artist and work alongside front line charities helping endangered species. She is fascinated by animal behaviour and interaction, as shown in ‘The Clash of Antlers’. Emma believes realism is an exceptional channel to capture the behaviour and personality of animals, resulting in people feeling a greater connection to wildlife and ultimately increasing their desire to help protect and conserve it.
