The snowy owl is a stunning creature, now endangered and rarely spotted in the UK, yet instantly recognisable. ‘From the Snow’ references the tight connection between the diminishing cold environment and this beautiful bird’s existence, and tries to meld the two in this image.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Amanda Gordon is a professional wildlife artist who works in watercolour. She enjoys seeking to harness the unpredictable and translucent qualities of her medium to express the movement, character and beauty of her wild subject matter. Using her art as a way of exploring her fascination with the natural world, Amanda finds capturing an image the best way to share this passion with others. She has her work in galleries across the UK and US and has recently collaborated with the Wild Otter Trust UK to help promote their invaluable work.
