Ryan’s oil painting highlights the effects of plastic pollution, in this case a lone monkey wrapped in a plastic bag which is perhaps a death sentence. Not only is it’s movement restricted but the sound of the plastic rustling could also attract predators.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Ryan Evans is a fine artist specialising in photorealism but has recently added slightly looser impressionism to his portfolio. In either style, his goal is to replicate or enhance every detail of the subject to convey their emotions in the given circumstance. Whether it’s a wild animal interacting with man-made pollutants such as plastic, or a ferocious big cat snarling as it defends its territory, every detail has to be captured or implied.
