Pandas represent to the artist the quintessential endangered animal. Jane’s early memories of the panda were her awareness of the need for mankind to protect its wildlife, whether in China, the African plains, or on our home soil. The panda encapsulates worldwide conservation and by helping one Jane feels it bring focus and awareness to the plight of others.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Jane is a self-taught watercolour artist living in the South Downs National Park with her husband and dogs. Her love of nature led her through painting landscapes with her father, into floristry, several years spent as a professional mountain bike racer, and then onto her specialisation as an animal artist, where she was able to combine all her favourite things! Now running a successful commission-based studio focused on her pet and animal portraits, Jane also teaches her love of watercolor both in person and online and continues to strive to keep her work loose, light, and with a sense of magic.
