These flattened, simplified rhinos feature a colour scheme evoking night and moonlight. They serve as a reminder of the threats of habitat loss and poaching, while also highlighting the potential for conservation efforts to protect these magnificent creatures amidst the darkness.

Under the artist name ‘STM STUDIO’, Shoji Terada and Momoko have passionately created artworks that combine beauty with the importance of conservation. Since becoming fascinated by wildlife during their honeymoon to South Africa in 2014, they provide their art and design to around 50 organisations and activists in about 20 countries to raise awareness and help them to raise funds.

All artworks will remain at the Mall Galleries, even if sold, until the exhibition concludes on 6 July 2024.
