ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

The artist, Deb Brees, grew up on a farm in Missouri, USA. Whilst attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, her favourite place to spend afternoons exploring was the Field Museum of Chicago, studying their animal dioramas. After college, Deb worked as a museum-fabricator artist for Brees Studio, an artistic company in southern Illinois, doing research, drawing, sculpting, and painting lifelike animal models for natural history museums around the world. Now she creates realistic works of fine art on canvas, bringing her lifetime of skill and knowledge, love, and passion for animals and all wild creatures.
