Recently seeing African wildlife for the first time, Tom Shepherd was struck by the rawness, and that in amongst so much environmental concern, he still had a great sense of nature being powerful, wild and free. Tom wanted to capture this in ‘Wild and Free’ with his bold and spontaneous use of acrylic painting.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Starting off creating colourful artwork on musical instruments, Tom Shepherd eventually let his two passions of painting and wildlife collide and he hasn’t looked back since! Tom found his artistic voice when he began using the wild, free and spontaneous nature of watercolour (or diluted acrylic) to capture the fleeting moments, colour, movement and character that makes wildlife such an engaging subject.
