ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Nick is a British artist specializing in contemporary marine art. Growing up among a family of divers, his passion for the sea grew from an early age. Nick’s experience allowed him to develop a unique style of painting, which combines traditional painting techniques and skills learnt during his years as a custom painter for the motorsport industry. Nick is a self taught artist and believes that this has helped him create his own style of painting and stand out from the crowd. Although best known for his signature black backgrounds, his work now often features precious metals, giving stunning reflective qualities. Combined with the use of high gloss art resin, Nick’s latest works shine and sparkle like the oceans they represent. In early 2016 Nick developed a technique to partially cover the canvas with tinted resins which allows a water surface effect not seen before; his ‘Split level’ series.
